cooking to our own beet
Our
STORY
Founded by Owner/Sommelier Shawn Weed in 2017, The Acre is an homage to his days picking vegetables on his grandparent's midwestern one-acre farm. The Acre's seasonally rotating menu features a variety of casual, unpretentious meat-free comfort food dishes designed to appeal to even the most devoted carnivore. The stoneware plates, vintage chairs, shiplap walls, wood tables, mason jar drinks, and gracious staff may just be reminded of grandma's kitchen. Come on by and pull up a chair. We can't wait to meet you.
Our
mission
Our goal is to make plant-based eating approachable and accessible for carnivores and herbivores alike.
The Acre is dedicated to serving fresh, hearty, homestyle meals without meat or processed meat substitutes. We make good old-fashioned comfort food from scratch using local, seasonal produce and a little inspiration. We call it, "Comfort Vegetarian".
